"GORILLA!"

Each child chose what instrument they wanted to play this morning during Circle Time. Max and Hudson played the cymbals. Scarlett and Brandon took turns playing the maraca and the jingle bells. I asked the children what book the would like me to read. "GORILLA!" Hudson shouted, so we read Little Gorilla by Ruth Bornstein. The children are showing interest in the animals and the gorilla growing in the story as well.

We worked on our individual collage using Elmer's glue, cardboard, and recycled materials. Then went for a walk around the block. When we returned the children played in the sandbox. Hudson and Max worked on their self-portraits. After lunch, we sang Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Baa Baa Black Sheep. Then it was time to sing Goodbye.
